FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The 2017 documentary "Mike The Birdman" will screen at Pryor Center in October, 2017. The film will be screened along with two other documentaries on the same evening; all the documentaries have been produced by journalism graduate students from UARK.
"Mike The Birdman" is a story about a man and his basic dignity on how he deals with life, which is mainly consumed by watching birds. This personal, heartrending documentary follows the remarkable story of Mike Mlodinow who appears to be a loner, but as we learn throughout the film he is really surrounded by a huge birding community within the Natural State. This story is compelling, humorous at times and really touches on the life of one birdwatcher and the community who has the utmost respect for him.
Living in a one-bedroom apartment, Mike is a man with no car, no phone, no internet, no local family except the for those in the birdwatching community
